This variety has an odd flesh-pink color, similar to tuna sushi. And so we nicknamed this the 'sushi vein'. |

In the middle of the night, on our way down
from Mt. Kvanefjeld, we detoured long enough to view the sealed entrance to the old uranium mine adit operated in the 1970s. This flash photo was taken in absolute pitch dark, sometime after 3 a.m. July 5th. |
